Here’s What I’m Doing at Comicpalooza and When

As per usual, I will be taking part in some Comicpalooza events, albeit fewer than years past because I like the idea of not burning out and also making time to go frolic in Discovery Green. But you didn’t click the link to read a lengthy introduction.

Here’s where you can come find me:

Friday, May 25

  • 11 a.m. through 12 p.m.: Special guest of Matinee Heroeslive podcast discussing Wonder Woman, panel room 9 (room 317C).
  • 12:30 p.m. through 1:30 p.m.: Leading the Houston Great Books Council’s annual Reading Comics as Literature workshop, panel room 9 (room 317C). No need to bring anything, as I will be providing all the reading material. However, if you’d like to read ahead, I plan to discuss Milton Lawson (local writer!) and Rem Broo’s Roger Ebert and Me.

Sunday, May 27

  • 11 a.m. through 12 p.m.: Moderating the Working with Non-Superhero Licenses in Comics panel, featuring Amy Chu, Joe Eisma, Matt Frank, and Sara Richards, panel room 3 (room 351B).

In addition, Comics Experience will be in attendance. A project with which I am involved, and well deserving of your time and attention. The people with whom I work are all passionate and talented and it’s an honor to have a chance to learn from them. You might even catch me at the booth.

Looking forward to seeing you there!
